FAMVIN: The International Vincentian Family

Six Vincentian treasurers and two potential treasurers,  representing six provinces and one mission of the Asia Pacific Vincentian Conference are holding a workshop at Adamson University in Manila from February 8 -26.  Facilitating the workshop is Fr. John Gouldrick, C.M., Econome General.

On the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the famous Monsieur Portail, one of Vincent’s closest companions, the Spanish famvin site is presenting a series of 5 portraits . The Vincentian Encyclopedia in English is adding them as the translations become available.

The Congregation of the Mission and the Daughters of Charity have opened up a joint website for their advocacy efforts via their NGO status at the UN. The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Antón Stres CM, up to present coadjutor bishop of Maribor,Slovenia, Archbishop Metropolitan of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The Summer Vincentian Popular Mission ‘09 is another initiative of Adamson University in order to carry-on the Vincentian legacy of creatively responding to those who are in need and evangelizing through words and deeds. This program follows a similar one in ‘08.
