FAMVIN: The International Vincentian Family

The Summer Vincentian Popular Mission ‘09 is another initiative of Adamson University in order to carry-on the Vincentian legacy of creatively responding to those who are in need and evangelizing through words and deeds. This program follows a similar one in ‘08.

In “Shared Sickness” TB in the Ngobe Family Fr. Joe Fitzgerald, CM uses video as part of his  doctoral project to tell the story of how this disease affects the indigenous Ngobe people of Panama.

Two new websites have been launched recently. One features the Spanish CM Province of Salamanca is dedicated to St. John Gabriel Perboyre and feature many photos since it is sponsored bya  French tour company. (See n otices on the Australian CM site.

More than 50 Polish CM’s were martyred during the Holocaust. According to the newly inaugurated website of the Polish Vincentians “They were among the 2,794 clergy members including 1,773 Polish priests and religious brothers were held in KL They are all celebrated in Martyrdom of Polish Clergy Memorial Day.

The international site of the Congregation of the Mission features a report of Fr. Gregory Gay’s Holy  Week in the United States.

As part of a project to integrate technologies such as google maps, the Vincentian Encyclopedia has developed at list of all the provinces of the Congregation of the Mission and is now starting to insert maps into these pages. similar maps could be made of other Vincentian Family locations.

The CM Province of Argentina,  celebrating 150 years of Vincentian Mission, has launched a new website.  The Province of Argentina includes Paraguay and Uruguay.  Themed in the colours of Argentina, the site contains information about the works of the province, news, the story of Vincent de Paul, vocation promotion links, details of the sesquicentenary celebrations,.   [...]
