The October_newsletter of the Sisters of Charity Federation NGO representatives at the UN is now available. In 1996 the Federation made the decision to apply for Non-Governmental Organization affiliation with the Department of Public Information at the United Nations. Because the congregations in the Federation serve in countries around the world, Sisters have firsthand knowledge of the needs of the people and, through the NGO, can give the poor a voice on an international platform.
