A very gifted member of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate, Dr. Margaret Healy, following the inspirations of Fr. Thomas Judge, CM, set on the path to create the Blessed Trinity Missionary Institute, a secular institute composed of vowed laity. It was formally recognized as a “pious union” in 1964.

The mottos which Fr. Judge gave to the Missionary Cenacle – and most especially “Be good! Do good! Be a power for good!” – are the framework around which the institute has been developed.

Members dedicate their lives to the Holy Trinity through their profession of the private vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. The mission of the Institute is the preservation of the faith in those areas and among those individuals who are spiritually neglected and abandoned. Their chief effort is to develop a missionary spirit in the laity, in every area of secular life, with the goal that every Catholic be an apostle.
