dantuono-at-un-1024x1024The Ladies of Charity website reports… President-elect Mary Ann Dantuono had the opportunity to express the prayerful support of the Ladies of Charity AIC-USA for the efforts to build peace to Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations.

The opportunity arose on Monday September 15, 2014, at the reception following the Annual Prayer Service hosted by the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations and the Archdiocese of New York on the occasion of the opening of the Sixty-ninth Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Mary Ann Dantuono is the Associate Director of the Vincentian Center for Church and Society at St. John’s University. An expert on women’s issues for the Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations, she is also a member of the Social Policy Committee of Catholic Charities USA, and on the boards of several human service organizations. Prior to joining the Vincentian Center, she served the R.C. Diocese of Rockville Centre as the Director of Public Policy and Legal Affairs for Catholic Charities.
