Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati sponsor Elie Wiesel Event

Sisters of Charity Ministry Foundation is proud to be co-sponsoring with the  Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education  “An Evening with Elie Wiesel” on Sunday May 6, 2012 at Xavier University.

Professor Wiesel will reflect on the Holocaust, and the work that remains to be done to secure a safe and tolerant world for future generations.

Over 7,500 community members, including students from Seton High School, DePaul Cristo Rey, and College of Mount St. Joseph will be able to attend.

Professor Wiesel has worked on behalf of oppressed for much of his adult life. As a teenager, he survived the notorious concentration camp Auschwitz. In 1956, Wiesel published Night, a memoir of his experience.

“We are the last generation to live amongst eyewitnesses to the Holocaust. We are on the verge of a major transition; soon living memory will be transformed to history. While we still have eyewitness to share their stories of survival, rescue , and liberation, let us learn from them.” – The Center for Holocaust & Humanity Education
