Sisters of Charity Halifax celebrate 125 years in Boston

The Sisters of Charity, Halifax will celebrate their 125th anniversary in the Archdiocese of Boston at Lantana in Randolph. The Congregation, established in 1849 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has had a strong presence in Mass. since 1887 — arriving to teach at St. Patrick School, Roxbury, which is still going strong. They continue to have a significant impact throughout New England, where they teach students from kindergarten to the university level, and work in healthcare, social service and pastoral care.
